Table of Contents To begin, I will quickly cover how CashCrate specifically works and why I think it's the best 'Get Paid to' website out there. As stated, CashCrate is a 'Get Paid to' website, specifically, get paid to complete offers. In other words, spend a few minutes of your time checking boxes and entering information to earn a real cash reward for your time and answers. The process is very straightforward and CashCrate significantly helps keeping it that way. Why does CashCrate pay you to answer online surveys? They don't, technically. Big corporate businesses do! It's a well known fact that just about every corporation in the world wants consumer information to better advertise and market their products; and some companies pay hundreds of millions of dollars annually for this information. CashCrate simply passes this money to you. CashCrate is simply the middle-man for this process. Corporations pay CashCrate to have consumers (you and me) answer short surveys containing our information, habits, preferences, etc. When you give out that information, CashCrate passes a portion of the money they earn onto you! In CashCrate's case, this portion is 75%! On a daily basis, the average person spends well over an hour a day surfing the internet. Below is the technical foundation of CashCrate: the numbers! Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years and older Location/Country Restriction: Residents of all countries are allowed to sign up, however most surveys are only available to residents of the United States and other English-speaking countries Minimum Payout: $20 (Carries over from month-to-month. Meaning, if you only made $19 your first month, you will start the second month already at $19) Payout Dates: The 20th of the following month (As you earn more referrals, which will be covered later, you will earn the opportunity to be paid on the 1st of the following month) Commission Earned: 75% (Meaning, if a business pays CashCrate $1.00 for a survey, you will earn 75%, or $0.75, when filling out the survey). 75% is an extremely high commission rate! Referral Commission Earned: 20% of your direct referrals, 10% of your referral's referrals. This can increase to 30% and 20%, respectively. The summation of the above really indicates why CashCrate is the best 'Get Paid to' website out there. It's fast, it's easy, it's reliable, and you can earn a whole lot of money from it.
The main method of earning cash through CashCrate is by completing offers. Offers come in many different forms. Some are simple surveys, some require you to sign up to another website, some require you to subscribe to another website, etc. Below is a typical list of offers. At any given time, you will generally have a dozen or so pages of offers you can complete. Offers are added daily.
As you can see, a lot of the offers come for noteable brands: Equifax, Alienware, Apple, Visa, etc. The most important part of these offers is the Description. In order to receive credit for completing the offer, you must do as it says. Lets take a look at the offer highlighted in yellow, the Alienware Laptop offer. The Description says that you must, "Fill out the form with valid information and complete the survey." This means there are two parts to this offer. The first is simply filling out a form with valid information (Name, Address, Phone Number, Age, Gender, etc.). The second is completing a survey. This will a series of questions most likely related to Alienware Laptops, such as "Do you own a Laptop?", "What brand of Laptop do you own?", "Are you looking to buy a new Laptop in the next 12 months?", etc. Simply go through the survey entirely. Once you are finished, return to the screen shown above. You must then click the "Submit" button in order to receive credit for completing the offer. Once it approves (usually takes between 5 minutes and 24 hours), your account will be credited for the Payout, in this case, $0.50. In total, you should be able to complete the offer in just a few minutes. Lets say you complete offers in 3 minutes and do-so for 30 minutes per day. Meaning, you complete 10 $0.50 offers per day earning you $5 a day. If you were to do this for an entire month, that would be $150 for that month. For the entire year, that would be $1800. Thirty minutes a day can easily yield you $1800 a year. Not bad if you ask me! Now, as you can clearly see, the Descriptions vary quite significantly. Some simply require you to fill out a form with valid information. Some require you to fill out an offer. Others require you to play a game. Each will be covered in more detail below. But what I would like to point out to you is the offer highlighted in red. This is an offer that requires the use of a Credit Card. You can see by the little Other methods of using these offers is to actually use the service. Lets say the Equifax offer (highlighted in red), requires you to sign up and pay to use their service; but you were planning on using their service anyway. CashCrate will still pay your $12 payout for using a service you planned on using anyway.
Now that you are ready to begin completing offers, there are a few things to look for to make it easier. Firstly, though, in order to complete an offer, you must find one! Once you're logged into CashCrate, click on the 'Members' button at the top of any page. Once you do that, you should see this screen:
This is the main navigation screen. I will quickly go over each portal below: Complete Offers: This is where you go to complete offers. Go Shopping: You can go here and view all of the places where if you buy something, you'll receive a credit to your account. There are lots of name brands here, so if you're about to do some online shopping, take a look at those listed here. Referrals: A complete breakdown of your Referral Level and information regarding your referrals. Useful for looking at statistics and seeing how close you are towards the next level. Earnings: A complete summary of your current and total earnings. Again, useful for looking at statistics and seeing where your money comes from. Prizes: As you complete offers and special bonuses from CashCrate, you earn Points (you can see I have 139). Here, you can spend these Points on gift cards, electronics, etc. Contests: Every month, CashCrate holds some sort of contest for its members. You can view the details for the month's contest here. Usually the winners receive $100 or more for that month. Promotion Center: This page is devoted to offering you links and banners to attract referrals. If you need a forum signature or run a website, look here for some links and banners to help you. My Account: Your Account information and preferences. Messages: You can view, send, and receive messages from other CashCrate members here. Logout: Obviously, logs you out! CashCrate PRO: More features in regards to gaining referrals. There are three types of offers to complete: Cash Offers, Points Offers, and Research Surveys. Cash Offers: These are the basic offers to complete. Points Offers: These offers typically require you to pay for a service or use delicate information (SSN, etc.). Because of this, CashCrate rewards you with lots of Points. I have never done any of these offers, but they appeal to some people. Research Surveys: These are the daily surveys. Each day, CashCrate gives you the opportunity to take advanced surveys which are gauranteed to approve and pay more than a typical Cash Offer. The surveys usually take about 20 minutes. The only 'catch' is that sometimes it's difficult to be allowed to take the survey (you'll be notified before you begin if you qualify or not) and you can only complete 2 of these per day. Still though, I find it always worthwhile to try and complete 2 a day. Once you are ready to complete a Cash Offer, take note of the 'Show' and 'Sort by' selections. Since I only do the free offers, I only show the 100% Free offers. For sorting, I sort by Rating. The higher an offer's rating, the better CashCrate gets the offers to approve. You don't want to spend a bunch of time completing low rated offers that never approve, do you? When you find a good offer (On the list above, I would start with the "Free Designer Handbag" offer). I find it that usually the offers with non-generic names approve better. Offers like "$1000 Walmart Card" and "$500 Visa Gift Card" usually don't approve for me. I'm not saying that they never do, just more times than not. So because of this, I try to do other offers first. Click on the "Free Designer Handbag" link and then do what the description says, "Fill out the form with valid information and complete the survey." CashCrate has the best referral system I have ever used. It's so easy to make tons of cash utilizing their system. If you build enough of referrals, you can literally earn hundreds or thousands of dollars every single month for years without having to do a single thing! The following is an example of CashCrate's most famous user, Amy Bass, who has amassed over 40,000 total referrals in just 2 years, earning her tens of thousands of dollars.
I will explain a few parts of this chart in order to help you better understand it. Obviously, the chart is divided by each month of participation. The Offers, Shopping, and Surveys columns depict how much money she earned by completing offers for each month. As you can see, she made under $40 total for the entire span of 2 years. The Referrals column, highlighted in yellow, depicts how much money she earned from comissions off of her referrals and her referral's referrals (first level and second level). At the highest level, you earn 30% of everything your first level referrals make and 20% of everything your second level referrals make. By far, this accounts for the largest portion of her earnings. The last column is the Bonuses column. Once you reach a certain level of referrals, you earn $1 for every one of your first level referrals that completes an offer. So for 06/15/07, she had 417 first level referrals complete an offer; earning her $417 of Bonuses for that month alone. As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities for earning tons of money through CashCrate's referral program. The following is the breakdown of each level: Bronze Silver Gold Platinum Elite In addition to the bonuses above, you can also customize a welcome message for your referrals. In this message, you can help explain to your referrals how to maximize their use of CashCrate (or simply direct them to my website if you found the information here useful). Remember, the more money they make, the more money you make! So you want to help your referrals as much as possible!
There are two ways of completing offers for CashCrate. The first, is the slow and direct way. You click the offer, tab through each field entering your Name, Address, State, Zip Code, etc. Continue clicking through the offers, finally finishing, submitting, and hoping your offer gets approved. What about the risks of using your identity? Address, Email, Phone Number: all of these are subject to massive spam, right? WRONG! All of these topics will be covered below in detail. Quick Version In summation:
1. Your Email Address: Unless you enjoy massive amounts of spam email, do not use your personal email address for completing offers! Instead, use alternate email addresses to fill out and complete offers. It's important that you both use valid information for these alternate email addresses and check them from time to time. Many offers will send confirmation emails to your address and won't approve until you confirm your email address. Now, if you are completing an offer you actually want (such as subscribing to a website you actually have interest in), obviously use whichever email address you wish. I also highly suggest creating a new email address at least once a day in order to improve your offers' chances of being approved. It's quick and easy to create a new email address from Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail. Just be sure to use valid information and check them frequently for confirmation emails.
2. Increase Approval Rating by Clearing Cookies - Automatically: One proven method of increasing your chances of getting your offers to approve is by constantly clearing your cookies, suggested after each offer. If you do not clear your cookies, marketing companies may be able to detect that you are the same person. Obviously, they do not care about obtaining the same information from the same person. Therefore, it's a great idea to clear your cookies after completing each offer. From the various programs I've tried, the best I've found to quickly clear your cookies is Cookie Cleaner, or CCleaner. It's a simple program that will thoroughly and quickly delete all of your cookies (the process takes just a few seconds). I suggest using this to clear your cookies after each offer. Once you download and install the program, just select 'Temporary Internet Files' and 'Cookies' underneath your browser. You can unselect all of the other options. After completing each offer, simply run the cleaner. My computer can clear all of those files in under a second (some computers may take up to 20 seconds). 3. Protecting Your Address: At this time, I do not have any real ways to avoid receiving spam mail to your home address. However, I can say that I do not receive that much spam mail, even 2 years later. However, I do receive real coupons and offers in the mail that some people may find useful and may actually save you money if it's products/services you typically use (I can't tell you how many free baby product coupons I've received). So having spam mail sent to your home address isn't necessarily a bad thing.
4. Increasing Approval Rating: Typically, there are a lot of repetative offers at any given time. As you begin completing offers, you'll notice that you are doing the same surveys, the same quizzes, etc. Also, if you do a bunch of these in a row (lets say you do 5 offers containing the same formatted-quiz/survey in under an hour), most likely only 1 will approve. Why? Simply because it's all probably from the same website or company and that's just how it works. So my first tip is to space out the completion of offers. If you're going to spend 30-60 minutes filling out offers, attempt to do a maximum of 3 offers of the same type. Once you've done 3, do not do anymore of that type of offer for about 5 hours. Also, if you're going to spend a few hours a day filling out offers, space it out. Do an hour when you wake up, an hour mid-day, and an hour before you go to bed. You will get a LOT more offers to approve this way, trust me!
Possibly the most important aspect of this whole process (other than actually making the money) is proof that this actually works!
